Wilkes Wrestling Club hosted the NC Elementary State Championships January 19^th at

Wilkes Central High School.

 

The WildCat wrestlers who finished the tournament undefeated and earned the title NC Elementary State Champions were:

T J Brown (2^nd -3^rd grade-90), Cole Susi (4^th-5^th grade-80)

Evan Adams (4^th-5^th grade-105), Kirby Craig (4^th-5^th grade-140)

 

2^nd Place finishers were :

Tradin Allen (K-1^st grade-40), Ethan Adams (K-1^st grade-60),

Seth Rizoti (2^nd-3^rd grade-55),

 

3^rd Place finish: Adam Vickers (2^nd-3^rd grade-70),

Wilkes Wrestling Club host WildCat Challenge Saturday December 15th at West Wilkes High School. The tournament had 330 wrestlers compete from across the state including 20 teams. Wilkes Wrestling Club (WWC) had 19 wrestlers compete at the Predator tournament at North Wilkes Middle School Saturday November 10th the WildCats had eight- first place champions, three- second place finishers, and four- third place finishers. The WildCat wrestlers that finished the tournament undefeated and took first place in their divisions were:  Tradin Allen (Tot-40),  Jaren Smith (Bantam 60),  Adam Vickers (Bantam 75),   TJ  Brown (Bantam Hwt),  Seth Rizoti (Elementary 60),  Cole Susi (Elementary 75),  Dustin Huffman (Elementary 80 & Midget 80),  JJ LaPlante (Middle School 103) Second place finishers were: Nicholas Hartley (Tot 40), Dalton Church (Bantam 60), Seth Rizoti (Bantam 65), David Combs (Elementary 105) Finishing third was: Justin Johnson (Tot 45), John Johnson (Bantam 50), Josh Bachman (Elementary 95), Jonathon Pittman (Middle School 112)  Also competeing were : Dawson Ellis (Tot 35), Mack Eller (Tot 50), Staley Anderson (Elementary 70) & Logan Shell (Elementary 75)

WWC is taking registrations for the upcoming

2007-2008 Wrestling Season

Parent Meeting Thursday September 6^th

7:00pm at Celebration Church (Old Union School) 

WWC is providing a quality program that will produce outstanding wrestling and wrestlers for all of Wilkes County; while also emphasizing sportsmanship, self-discipline, and character development in young athletes. We are encouraging all of Wilkes County to support this program regardless of any specific school district.

WWC is open to all boys Kindergarten through 9^th grades

Practice schedule is open Monday – Friday starting September 17^th and will continue thru March.

You may join at any time during the season, but are encouraged to do so early

WWC is taking applications for Coaches and Assistant Coaches, a background check will be required if interested contact Woody Bachman 984-8347

WWC is a competitive wrestling club and will have several opportunities for competitions including local tournaments as well as team events held locally. Last season WWC had 69 registered wrestlers – producing 4 State Champions, 3- 2^nd place finishes, 1 – 3^rd place finish and 1 – 4^th place finish

From a parents point of view:  We are proud to have our son involved in the WWC program. The club is based on Christian values and beliefs preparing kids for any challenge in life by instilling in them characteristics such as integrity perseverance, mental and physical toughness. The coaches are always encouraging the kids to work hard and put forth their best effort. We feel WWC is a great club to be a part of.
